Job Summary: 

 

NTG is seeking a Telecommunications Network Engineer to serve in a full time, onsite capacity in support of WAN functions, by providing skills and expertise in telecom engineering of current and new technologies to the Wide Area Network (WAN) for Federal Agency.  In this role, the Telecommunications Network Engineer will serve under the direction of the client to satisfy requirements, goals and objectives as effectively and efficiently as possible.

 

** This role is not a current position.  This position is part of a government proposal, and contingent upon award to N-ovation Technology Group, LLC and its Prime Contractor. 

Job Requirements:

Experience in telecommunications network design and management
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently, or under only general direction, on requirements that are moderately complex to analyze, plan, program, and implement 
Experience in analysis and design of voice networks, WAN and WAN data networks, wireless networks, and/or network management systems to support voice and data services
Analyzes and develops telecommunications networks supporting a wide range of capabilities, including voice, data, video, and/or wireless services
Develops designs and plans for installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems from project inception to conclusion
Analyzes the problem and the characteristics of the information to be transported
Defines the problem and develops system requirements and network specifications Monda
Closely coordinates with other information system professionals to ensure proper implementation of network services
In conjunction with functional users, develops alternative solutions and backup plans
Troubleshoot and support existing production networking infrastructure (Cisco routers and mixed environment switches (Cisco and Brocade) as well as newly installed technologies 
Willingness and ability to work in an On-Call environment
Willingness and ability to travel when required (20% of the time)
Willingness and ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift

 

Skills / Qualifications:

Must possess one of the following:

CCSE NGX,
CCNA,
CCNP,
CCSP,
SCNA,
CCSE NGX Plus NG with AI,
CCMSE NG with AI,
CSMSE NG with AI Plus VSX,
NSA,
ESE

Must possess Department of Defense (DOD) Secret level clearance
IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+, GSEC, SSCP, CCNA-Security)

 

 

 Education / Experience:

Minimum 5 years’ telecommunications systems experience with at least three years of local or wide area network experience
Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Associates degree or less acceptable with at least 4 years relevant experience
US citizenship is mandatory
